Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how StatsRadar ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you use our website, APIs and dashboards (the "Service"). It applies to account holders, their team members and website visitors. It does not cover athlete statistics, which are sports performance records provided as part of the Service itself.
1. Information we collect
Account information: name, email address, company name, and your use-of-purpose declaration when you register.
Billing information: plan, invoices and payment status. Card details are processed by our payment provider and never stored on our servers.
Usage data: API request metadata (endpoint, timestamp, response status, key used, originating IP address), dashboard activity and quota consumption. We collect this to operate metering, billing, rate limiting and abuse prevention.
Technical data: browser type, device information and cookies necessary for authentication and preferences (such as language).
2. How we use information
We use the information above to: provide and operate the Service; meter usage and bill subscriptions; send service notifications such as quota alerts, incident notices and maintenance announcements; review declared use cases for advanced plans; prevent fraud, abuse and prohibited uses (including betting-related use); improve the Service; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your API query patterns to build products that compete with you.
3. Legal bases
Where applicable data protection law (such as the GDPR) applies, we process personal information: to perform our contract with you; for legitimate interests such as securing and improving the Service; to comply with legal obligations; and with your consent where required, which you may withdraw at any time.
4. Sharing
We share personal information only with: (a) service providers that support our infrastructure, analytics, email delivery and payment processing, bound by confidentiality and data-processing obligations; (b) league partners, in aggregate or anonymized form only (e.g. overall API usage of their competition data — never your customer lists or query-level details attributable to you); (c) authorities where required by law; and (d) a successor entity in a merger or acquisition, subject to this Policy.
5. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in sessions and security, and functional cookies for preferences such as language. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working.
6. Data retention
Account information is retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter as required for legal, accounting and dispute-resolution purposes. Request-level API logs are retained for up to 13 months for metering, security and abuse investigation, then deleted or anonymized. Aggregated usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.
7. Security
We protect personal information with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, hashed credentials, access controls and audit logging. API keys are displayed once at creation and stored in hashed form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please notify us immediately of any suspected compromise.
8. International transfers
We operate regionally and may process data in jurisdictions other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for cross-border transfers.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may access, correct, export or delete your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Most account data can be managed directly in your dashboard; for other requests contact us at the address below. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or dashboard notification at least 14 days before taking effect. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
