Terms of Service

Last updated: August 27, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the StatsRadar platform, including our website, APIs, documentation, dashboards and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

1. The Service

StatsRadar provides programmatic access to sports data — including schedules, scores, box scores, team and player statistics, standings and play-by-play event streams — for regional basketball leagues with which we maintain official data partnerships.

The Service is provided on a subscription basis. The data scope, real-time access level and call volume available to you depend on your plan. Plan details, quotas and feature availability are described on our pricing page and in your account dashboard.

2. Accounts and API keys

You must register for an account and obtain an API key to use the API. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and for all activity that occurs under them. Do not share keys publicly, embed them in client-side code accessible to end users, or transfer them to third parties.

If you believe a key has been compromised, rotate it immediately from your dashboard. We may suspend keys that show signs of abuse or compromise to protect the Service.

3. Use-of-purpose declaration

At registration you must declare the intended use of the Service truthfully. Applications for advanced plans may be subject to manual review. We reserve the right to request reasonable information about your use case at any time, and to decline or terminate service where the declared or actual use violates these Terms.

4. Prohibited uses

You may not use the Service or any data obtained from it, directly or indirectly, for gambling or betting products or services of any kind. This includes odds-making, wager settlement, betting exchanges, and any product whose primary function facilitates wagering. This restriction is a core condition of our league partnerships and is strictly enforced: violations result in immediate termination of access without refund.

You may also not: (a) resell, sublicense or redistribute raw data feeds to third parties as a competing data service; (b) circumvent rate limits, quotas or access controls; (c) use the Service to build a machine-learning training corpus for redistribution of the underlying data; (d) misrepresent StatsRadar data as originating from another source, or remove required attribution where your plan specifies it; (e) use the Service in violation of applicable law.

5. License to data

Subject to these Terms and your subscription plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the data and display it within your own applications, websites and products. Rights to underlying league data remain with StatsRadar and its league partners. Your license ends when your subscription ends, except for factual outputs (e.g. published articles) already created in compliance with these Terms.

6. Quotas, rate limits and fair use

Each plan includes a daily request quota. When you approach your quota we notify you by email (at 80% and 100%). Overages are handled by soft throttling by default — we slow rather than sever access — but sustained or abusive overuse may be rate-limited or suspended.

Rate-limiting state is exposed in API response headers so your integration can adapt programmatically.

7. Fees and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise. You may upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from your dashboard; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

8. Data accuracy and corrections

We source data first-hand from official scoring systems and strive for accuracy and timeliness, but sports data is recorded live and corrections occur (e.g. post-game stat corrections). The Service reflects corrections as they propagate. The Service is provided "as is" and we do not warrant that data will be error-free or uninterrupted.

9. Availability and support

We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation except where a Service Level Agreement is expressly included in an Enterprise contract. Scheduled maintenance and incidents are communicated on our status page.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for material breach of these Terms — including any prohibited use under Section 4 — or with 30 days' notice for convenience. Upon termination, your license to the data ends and you must cease API access.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StatsRadar's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue or data.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will provide at least 14 days' notice by email or dashboard notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
